Swimmer Information

Equipment needed:

All swimmers will need a swimsuit, cap and goggles for practices.  The team does have a team suit that all competitive swimmers should have as well as a team cap.  Note: 8/26/10 A new team suit is being chosen at this time, so please wait to order a team suit.

Rules of Conduct:

As a member of The Turbine Swim Club, swimmers, parents, and staff are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the highest values and promotes a positive atmosphere. 

Unsportsmanlike conduct by a swimmer at a Turbine Swim Club event will be the cause for review by the coaching staff and possible suspension from team activities for a period of time deemed appropriate. 

All Turbine swimmers are expected to treat each other, parents, guests, coaches, officials, and opponents with respect.

All Turbine swimmers will be responsible for maintaining good personal health, hygiene, and nutrition habits.

All Turbine swimmers will respect our pool, equipment, and locker areas and those that we visit. 

All Turbine swimmers will respect the property and belongings of fellow swimmers.

 *Turbine swimmers who consistently violate the Rules of Conduct may be asked to leave the club.

Practice Expectations:

All Turbine swimmers will arrive to practice on time, ready and willing to work and improve.

All Turbine swimmers will be attentive to the coaches at practice and put forth their best effort in the practice sessions. 

All Turbine swimmers will attend practice faithfully in order to maximize their progress and skill level. 

Varsity and modified swimmers are welcome to attend Turbine practices.  Varsity and modified swimmers should attend at least one Turbine practice during the week of a Turbine swim meet.

Disruptive swimmers will be given two verbal reminders/warnings from the coaching staff.  If the inappropriate behavior continues, the swimmer will sit on the deck bench for a period of time deemed appropriate by the coaches.  If necessary, the coaches will discuss the situation with the swimmer and his/her parent or guardian.
