Meet the Coaches
Noelle
Haney –
Level 2 coach,
has 6 years of competitive swimming experience in high school and
8 years of coaching experience. This season she is also coaching
the Beaver River modified girls swim team for the first time.
In high school she was a league and section champion in the 100
yard backstroke. During college, she obtained her Water Safety
Instructor certification and began teaching swimming lessons at
the local YMCA and other local clubs. In 2001 she began coaching
a summer recreational swim team in Plymouth, Massachusetts where
she lived and taught math at the middle school. She worked
as the Aquatics Director there from 2001- 2006 coaching and teaching
swim lessons. In the summer of 2007 she and her family relocated
back to Lowville where she missed her recreational swim team as
well as the masters swim team she participated in. She is
very excited to gain experience in this level of coaching and has
been coaching the Turbine Swim Club since June 2008 when it began.
She is a certified level 2 USA coach as well as certified in American
Red Cross Life guarding & First Aid and American Heart Association
CPR/AED. She has attained ASCA Level 2 coaching by passing
ASCA Level 1, 2 & 3 tests.

A.J.
McCall –
Began
his competitive swimming career at the age of 8. He swam both
YMCA and USA Swimming for eight years with the Cortland YMCA Stingers.
His events were the butterfly and individual medley. He was
also a distance swimmer, often swimming the 400 IM, 200 butterfly,
and 500, 800 and 1650 freestyle events. As a member of the
State team, he competed in Long Island and Buffalo. As a USMS Masters
swimmer he competes about two times per year against other adults.
He is an active official and the assignor for the Black River Valley
Chapter of NYS High School Swimming Officials. He is currently
coaching the Beaver River Boys Modified Swim Team. Under his
leadership, the Beaver River Swim Team had an undefeated season,winning
all eight of their swim meets. Nearly all of the modified pool records
were broken this year and the team earned second place at the league
championship meet. He has his Level 1 ASCA/USA Coaching
Certificate. He has his American Red Cross Life guarding
& First Aid and American Heart Association CPR/AED. As
a founder of the Turbine Swim Club, he is very excited to offer
the youth of Lewis County the opportunity to become part of such
a wonderful sport.

Morris
McIntosh –
Level
1 Coach - Morris is certified in Lifeguard Training, First Aid and
American Heart Association CPR/AED Certified and has taken safety
training for coaches. He is a certified USA coach and is coaching
the level 1 group this season. His son Mathew is a level 2
swimmer.
